For l’atutahi, Tuesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m., Thursdays at 1 p.m. For Waimata and Arakihi, Tuesday, at 1.30 p.m. For Kaiteratahi, Te Karaka, and Whatatutu, daily, at 10 a.m. For Poututu, Whakarau, Eakauroa, and Motu, Thursday, at 10 a.m. For Kanakanae, Mondays and Fridays, at 10 a.m. For Pakarae, Hauiti, and Tolago Bay, Mon days and Thursdays, at 0 a.m. For 'laiewa, Morere, hiuhaka, Opoutama (Mahia), Wairoa, and Wharerata, Tuesdays, at 7 a.m. iFor Tckoniaru Bay, Waipiro Bay, Tuparua, Port Atsauui.iiahukura (name changed), llangitukiu, Te Araroa, and Hick’s Bay, Thursdays, at 0 a.m.
POSTAL HOLIDAYS. On Wednesday, 25tii December, and Ist January, tlie Uisborue Post dice will be closed. All mails for despatch on these days will be made jp at V.oli p.m. on the evenings preceding. On Tuesday evening there will iie a counter delivery of town letters ony, from 7 to 8 p.m. On 26th December the office will be open in all branches from 9 to Id n.jn Mails for despatch during the day v\ill be made up at 10 a.m. One complete delivery will be made by ,eUer curriers, beginning at 8 a.in. On Christmas Lay the Telegraph Office will bo open from 9 a.m. to ID a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.nn, and on Boxing r.ay and New Year's Luy from 9 a.m. to 4 ,p.in. and 7 p.m. to midnight. The Telephone Exchange will be o; en on Christmas Day from 9 to 10 ;..m. only. On the other holidays the usual hours will be observed. Country offices in the Gisborne district will observe a close holiday on Christmas and New Year’s Day, iut will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. on Boxing Day. G. W. SAMPSON, Chief Postmaster.
