APPOINTMENT OF COMMANDANT.

Mr Barton has informed the House of the appointment of Colonel Hutton as Commandant, with a local rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. All staff appointments will be made from Australia.
Parliament adjourned on Wednesday for the fortnight over Christmas.
