The Conciliation Board's recoinmenda- j tion for the settlement of the disputes in the j grocery trade proposes that the minimum ! weekly wage shall be, shops where there j are more than three employees, A 3 10s for 1 first counter hand, X'3 for second counter hand, and £2 bs for third class hands and those below them. Where less than three men are employed the minimum weekly wage shall be : X2 lUs for first, and £2 5s for second hand. Where an employee is regularly employed in a shop at ordinary work he shail be classed as first shopman. The indenturing of apprentices shall not be compulsory, but if indentured, a boy must not be less than 15 years of age. The term of apprenticeship shall be four or five years.
