GOVERNMENT MAKE A STAND IN THE MATTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Public Works Department refuses to carry liquor on the section under their control from Poro-o-tarao tunnel southwards. Largo consignments of spirits and beor for Ongamabe are now lying at Poro-o-tarao station, where the working railway’s control ends.
