Mr Dunnet, agent for tho Oceanic Steamship Company, has not yet received definite advice of Mr Spreckels’ intentions with regard to the San Francisco mail service. When the Sonoma left San Francisco Mr Spreckels had not received full details of the Government proposals, but theso reached him by tho mail which arrived in San Francisco yesterday week. From tho fact that no reply has been reSprcckels is contemplating a refusal of the ceived by cable it is anticipated that Mr terms of the Government, as he was asked to give an immediate reply to tho offer.
