(By Telegraph-—Press Association.) j Wellington, last night. The Council met at 2.50 p.m. The State Coal Mines Bill was read a second time pro forma, and referred to the j Goldlieds Committee. A long debate took place on the motion ; for the third reading of the Industrial. ! Conciliation, and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill. It was interrupted by the I dinner adjournment. EVENING SITTING. The Council resumed at 7.80. After several hours’ debate the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act Amendment Bill passed the final stages bv 20 to 0.

House of Hepresontatives

The House met at 2.30 p.m. The afternoon was spent in discussing a motion for the committal of the Maori Lunds Administration Act Amendment Bill. Several members strongly condomod the Native laud legislation of the Government.
