STOKE AND DWELLING-HOUSE.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, last night A store and dwelling of Mr L. Smith, of Nightcaps, were burnt this morning. The insurance on the stock was in the National and Imperial offices, <£2so each, the latter also having £IOO on the furniture. The building was insured in the Commercial Union and Imperial Offices was £l5O each, and North German £l5O.

A COLD SNAP. The district is being visited by a cold snap, with heavy rain and hail showers.
