-V terrible disaster occurred to-day. \\ hilst the steamer St. Pierre was disembarking thirty reeidnistes from the Isle of Pines into a launch, the latter cnpsi,ed, and all, including three women and the warders, were thrown into the w ater. The Kanaka crew of the St. Pierre saved tifteen, including the women. At least fifteen persons, including the warders, were drowned. Several bodies were recovered.
