THE SHOOTING OF MR HEWITT.
ACCIDENT TO A ROAD TEAM.
By Telograph.—Press Association. Wairoa, last night.
Maxwell was charged with wounding with intent, and was committed for trial. Three horses of Mr Indray bolted on the Waikaromoana road yesterday, and feli into tho river. All tho horses wore drowned. The harness and dray were recovered. Tho driver, who was walking, was uninjured.
