Riverside Road.
(To the Editor of the Times.)
Sip.,—The accident which occurred this evening to a much-respected lady, Mrs Simeon, should surely at last lead to something being done to remedy the disgraceful condition of the Riverside road.' Nothing has been done to the road for the past eighteen months, and it is a standing disgrace to any community calling itself civilised, It was not in such a bad state eight years ago. The road from Clayton’s bridge to where I reside is in an outrageous condition. Complaint has been made time after time without effect-, and now we have this unfortunate accident by which life might have been lost, for life is in danger in travelling upon such a “ road.” Once again we appeal to the Boad Board to do its duty in regard to the road, for no language could be too strong to condemn the existing condition of things.—l am, etc.,
