Thus. Whitolock Kompthornc, of the Now Zoaland Drug Company was charged at the Police Court with committing perjury. The information was sworn by James Alsford, and sot forth that at the trial at the Supromo Court on August lit), IS‘)f, of James Alsford and James Russell for breaking into the acid works at Burnside and stealing a platinum trough, Kompthornc perjured himself and misled the Court. Complainant appeared to conduct his own case, which was dismissed without calling upon the defence.
