Throughout the game the New Zealanders were very much off-side —more so than picked men should be and they repeatedly nullified the splendid rushes by their over-eagerness in this respect. Of the team as a whole, the forwards were a splendid lot, and, with one or two changes in tho backs, practice would make it a very formidable combination for any team to meet.
