A ROAD BOARD CASE,
By Telegraph —Press Association. Dunedin, last night. A ease brought by the Tomahawk Road Board against the Ocean Beach Domain Board for not abating a nuisance caused by the deposit of nightsoil in sand on the Domain, was dismissed on the ground that the requisition served on the Board was not properly authorised. A DESERTER. James Boyle, of the Royal Field Artillery, who deserted when the Imperial troops visited Dunedin, gave himself up at the Police Station last evening. He stated that he was not able to earn a living. He appeared at the Police Court to-day, and was remanded to enable the Police Commissioner to be communicated with. ILLEuAL OPERATION. Cburiotte Bradbury was committed for triai to day oil a charge of ud".g an instrument .in an unmarried woman for illegal purposes.
