A SHOCKING CASE. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Dunedin, last night,

Tho hearing of tho charge against Elizabeth Hiscocks of having murdered her male child, was commenced at the Police Court to-day. The Crown Prosecutor outlined the evidence, which, ho said, would show that tho accused admitted to more than one woman that slio had dropped a parcel in Heriot Row containing the body of the child. It was true that with the exception of Mrs Brown, sister of the accused, all the women were of the unfortunato class, but it did not follow they would therefore givo false testimony. The accused was remanded for a month.
