FOUND DEAD.

OVERDOSE OF MORPHINE,

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. A man named George Holbcck died this morning at a boarding-house. It

appears that deceased stayed in bed all day yesterday, complaining of feeling unwell. About two o’clock this morning another boarder heard him moaning, and on going into his room found him unconscious. Holbeck died soon afterwards. Alongside tho bed was found a bottle labelled, “ morphine sulphate—poison.” An inquest was held, the verdict being that death resulted from an overdose of morphine, inadvertently taken.
