AGRIC ULTURISTS OBJECT,

At a-inc-ehng of the Auckland Provincial Agricultural Association to-day, the secretary read a copy of the Eight Hours Bill now under consideration, and dealt at length with clause 4, which affected farm laborers. Considerable discussion took place on this clause. It was moved ‘‘That the Association do not support the Bill, as it is unworkable.” Tiie motion was carried almost unanimously. Mr Rutherford was appointed to draw up a protest on behalf of the Association against the Bill, and forward it to tue district members.
