Mr MeCardlc, President of the King Country League, says that Auckland has been asleep regarding her interests, allow-
* vast ateas of land to lie unproductive or thirty years. He adds that there is -Mlieient cheap land of excellent quality *■ ...-e to satisfy the earth-hunger of the whole colony. The land valued at five slr'hags an acre is equal to that for which the Land Purchase Department is pay ing, A 5 an acre.
