The stock of gold coin and bullion is 635,482,000 ; reserve, 61,497.900 ; proportion ot reservo to liabilities, 40.45 ; in circulation, 630,395,000 ; on public deposits, 612,559,000 ; in other deposits, 640,742,000 ; in Government securities, 617,944,000 ; other securities, 628,853,000. Throo months’ bills are at per cent. Colonial stocks are unchanged in price. Wheat —The markets are firmer but quiet. Australian parcels are at 27s 3d. One cargo sold at 28s. Copper is firm. O: spot, 608 5s ; at three months, 658 10-.
Tho tin market i■ speculative. On spot is at 6128 10s ; three months, 6117 5s to 6117 7s 6d. Iron is at 53s Bd, and lead at 612 ss. Sugar is steady in price. German is at 9s 3d • first markets, 11s. Wool clips sold as follows : Mendip 0-scl, and Leefield S]d. The Bradford market is firm ; Commons are at 18. id, and Supers at 18 jd. London, July 20. Consols arc at 93. Wool —Competition in crossbreds has had a hardening tendency.
