COLONIALS TO SCOUR CAPE COLONY. DEATH SENTENCES COMMUTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 20. A Reuter despatch states that all Capo troops will hereafter operate exclusively within Cape territory, under colonial commanders, to expel raiders and suppress the rebellion, the troops co-operating with Imperial troops engaged beyond tho frontier.
Lord Kitchener has commuted 34 death sentences of Cape rebols to penal servitude for life in Bermudas.
