The Chinese have consented to tho Italian legation at Pekin retaining the temple of ancestors of Chinese. They have also agreed to the construction of glacis separating tho legations from the Chinese city, neither Europeans nor Cliiucso to build thereon. SIGNIFICANT SIGN. BRITISH FORCE IN CHINA TO BE INCREASED. By Telegraph—Cress Association—Copyright London, July 17. A Reuter messngo states that the departure of tho third Bombay Cavalry from Tientsin has been countermanded, while the strength of tho British remaining there will be increased by a thousand. The causo is unknown.
