ANGLICAN SYNOD DECLARES FOR STATE HOTELS. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The Anglican Synod resumed the discussion on the motion affirming the desirability of private profit being eliminated from tho sale of intoxicants. The motion was carried without a dissentient voice, amid applause. During the discussion the Rev. Mr Spott said he was afraid that prohibitionists were to blame for the apathy displayed by a large part of the population to temperance reform.
