Mr O’Malley, of Tasmania, has given notice in the Federal Houses of a motion that it is essential in tlie interests of fairness and friendly relations existing between the Commonwealth and foreign nations that the Commonwealth declare that any attempt of any foreign power to spread its un-British system in any part of this portion of the Southern Hemisphere he regarded as dangerous to peace and happiness of Australia. The controlling destiny of these Southern Sea islands being declared to be sacredly vested in Australia, that further annexation be considered a hostile act.
