THE FATAL FALL OF EARTH. (By Telegraph—l Toss Association.) Dunedin, last night. The inquest on tho men killed by the fall of earth at Inch Valley limo kilns was opened to-day, when tho bodies of Jas. G. Hannah, Donald Murray, and Wm. Flynn were identified. A committee was appointed to carry out the details of the reception on the assumption that the men will come by way of the Bluff and Invercargill. SNOWFALL. The heavy snowfall appears to have been general throughout Otago to-day. tt did not leave tho stveets of the city all day. A MOTHER’S IGNORANCE. An inquest was held to-dav touching the death of the infant child of a young I unmarried woman at Tomahawk. Sho j was confined unexpectedly on tho 2nd. i A post mortem showed that tho child had ! breathed, but no more. Tho jury returned a verdict that death wan due to ■ want of attention at birth, owing to ignorance on the part of the mother.
