Hornsby woro mentioned in the District Court at Masterton this morning. Counsel for Mr Hornsby applied for an adjournment on tho ground of Parliamentary privilege. This was objected to. District Judgo Kottlo said that as District Court Judgos were not independent ho would dcclino to hoar a easo in which a mombor of Parliament was concerned, ho being dependont for his salary upon tho legislature. Ho advised that a writ of cortiorari bo obtained to rcmuvo tho eases into tho Supremo Court. Counsel for Moriarty said ho would apply for a mandamus to compel Judgo Kettle to adjudicates in the eases.
