FIRE AT COROMANDEL
(By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. At three o’clock this morning the Kapanga Arms Hotel, at Coromandel, was found to be on fire. When tho Brigade arrived the flames had got a good hold of the lower portion of the building. The inmates were got out of the building. All were sleeping upstairs. King’s temperance boarding house, 28 feet away, soon caught fire, and this large building was quickly one mass of flame. Willing hands had been at work getting out the furniture, and the greater part was saved. The insurances on the boarding house are : Building, £2BO in the Sun and 11140 in the North Queensland ; outbuildings, JEIOO in the Victoria; and furniture, .£350 in the Norwich Union. Tho Kapanga Arms Hotel is supposed to be insured in the Norwich UnioD. There was no insurance on the stock or furniture in the hotel.
