By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. The Arbitration Court sat to-night to conclude tho hearing of the evidence and addresses on both sides in tho metal workers’ assistants’ dispute. Mr Justice Cooper announced that the matter would be considered in combination with tho boiler makers’ dispute, and a decision given, Mr Justice Cooper proceeds to Invercargill in tho morning to complete tho criminal sittings there. Tho Deep Stream Sluicing :Company washed up 118 oz for [tho month. Drcding returns are: Waimumu Central 20oz 13dwt, Inch Valley 15oz 17dwt. An offer of increased pay. to' men attending the Boyal review at Christchurch has been submitted to the : Volunteers, with the result that only 165 names have been received from the Bifle Battalion, or five more than previously offered. Of these, over 40 are recruits.- As only one company offered, with a minimum strength of 40, and that company has not yet received belts, none of the infantry companies will go to Christchurch. Most of the men say that they absolutely cannot afford the time. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on William Howie, killed by the capsizing of a drag during a fog at Lookout Point.
