SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT WHAREKOPAE.
Information was received in town yesterday of a serious accident which occurred at Wharekopae. A man named Sandy Pollock was engaged bush-felling, when a tree fell, and badly crushed him. His mate, who came into town for medical aid, said that Pollock was so bad that he could not bear to be touched by his companions, and, from what he could see, there was not much chance of his life being saved. He did not think that Pollock would live more than twenty-four tours,
