A great fire is raging in the Forbidden City, Pekin. The Japanese and Americans are protecting property. Count Waldorsee has postponed his departure from Tientsin pending an investigation of the Tuka road affray. The Standard’s Berlin correspondent says that tho British proposal for tho issue of Chinese bonds representing indemnities to each Power has been accepted.
