THE MAIL STEAMERS.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. Owing to the Sonoma having been detained in Sydney for repairs, her departure from Auckland has been delayed from the 4th to the 15th ultimo. The Oceanic Company despatched tho Mariposa from San Francisco on Thursday last with London mails to the 18th of May. She will probably be two days late in reaching Auckland. On her return voyage the Mariposa will leave Auckland on the 4th of July, two days earlier than time-table date, to admit of the mails reaching San Francisco and London on due date.
