cation and the Queen’s banishment are without foundation. Vienna and Bucharest specialists declare that the Queen is suffering from metritis.
CONFLICTING REPORTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Belgrade, May 20. Some accounts represent Alexander of Servia as furious at his disappointment. Others state that he has accepted Queen Draga’s protestations of innocence, and been reconciled.
AUCKLAND NEWS.
GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The final match of the championship of the Auckland Golf Club was won by Mr C. E. S. Gillies, by five up and four to play. PRESENTATIONS. Mr W. J. Jobson, Government Inspector of Machinery, was presented on the occasion of his retirement, by the Auckland engineers, steamship owners, boiler-makers and others, with an illuminated pictorial address, a leather upholstered easy chair, and two pairs of bowls.
