THE LOANS APPROVED: PUBLIC APATHY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The polling took place to-day on the three loan proposals submitted by the City Council to ratepayers. The polling was as follows: Tramway loan of .£225,000: For, 1237 ; against, 268. Town Hall'loan of £50,000: For, 1150; against, 344., Wood-paving loan of £55,000 : For, 798 against, 677. All three were thus carried. Less than 1500 ratepayers voted out of QYor 6600 on the roll.
