AUCKLAND NEWS.

ROYAL VISIT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. , Auckland, last night. At a meeting of the Decoration Committee in connection with the visit of the Duke of Cornwall, it was decided to erect a Government triumphal arch across Queen-street at an estimated cost of #SO. It is to be on the design of the one erected in front of the Parliament buildings at Home, and will bo about 40 feet in height. The work is to be commenced at once. STREET BETTING.
