(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Governor has been compelled to postpone his trip to Rangitikei, which he proposes to make next week. PRISONERS AT WORK. The behaviour and work of the prisoners employed at Rotorua has been excellent, and the Minister of Justice is considering the question of the employment of short sentence men in other parts of the colony. RABBITS. Reports to the Agricultural Department show that the statements of the increase of silver grey rabbits at Rotorua has been greatly exaggerated, and there are very few traces of the pest.
