Mr J. A. Harding left for Auckland by the Mararoa on Sunday. He will be absent from Gisborne for about ten days. Mr A. Y. Ross has gone to Auckland to arrange about publishing a new edition of his Engineering and Building Contractors’ Price Book. Trooper Reynolds won the gold medal at the rifle butts yesterday. Mr W. Morgan, President of the Chamber of Commerce, is on a short visit to Napier. Mr J. Fortune, the lion, secretary of the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union, and of the Union Rowing Club, is on a visit to Gisborne.
