The effects of the drought are shown by the fact that nine stations in the Gregory district last year carried one hundred thousand cattle, one hundred and forty-two thousand sheep, and two thousand horses. Now they have only Dine thousaud cattle, forty-eight thousand sheep, and fou" hundred horses.
