STOCK SALES.

An important sale of stock will he held by Messrs Common, Shelton and Co., Mr J. B. Kells acting as auctioneer, on Thursday next at the Waerenga-a-hika yards. Present entries comprise over 7000 sheep, including a thousand two and four-tooth wethers, five hundred two-tooth ewes, two thousand four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, eleven hundred full-mouthed ewes, and twenty full-mouthed rams. Another attractive entry is three hundred head of cattle, including one hundred steers, seventy mixed cattle from Opotiki, and one hundred and thirty mixed cattle. A number of draught horses will be offered on account of Mr P. Barker,. The sale commences at 11.80 a.m. Messrs Wyllie and Mason will hold their usual. stock sale at Waerenga-a-hika yards on Thursday next, particulars of which will be advertised in a later issue.

At the Matawhqro yards on Friday next Messrs Williams and Kettle and the New Zealand Loan snd Mercantile AgencyCompany hold their usual sales, when a large yarding of sheep, cattle, and horses is promised. Messrs Williams and Kettle will offer four thousand sheep, including good lines oi f 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 2tooth 'ewes, and lambs. Over a hundred head of cattle will be offered, including some .fine young stock. Mr A. F. Kennedy will conduct the sales. Further entries are invited.
