The Conferonco in the afternoon, in representative session, proceeded to the consideration of the connexional newspaper, the Advocate, negotiations having been proceeding for some time with the publishers of tho Outlook, the organ of the Presbyterian and Congregational Churches, and now published in Dunedin. It was unanimously resolved to amalgamate the Advocate with the Outlook on certain mutually advantageous terms. The balance-sheet of tho contingent fund was then received and adopted. Dr Morley moved that negotiations be entered into with the Primitive Methodist Church officials of this colony, with the view of having the union of the Methodist Church consummated throughout Australasia in 1902.
