REMOUNTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA.

A SUGGESTION.

(To the Editor of the Tijies.)

Sir, —I notice that teq remounts have been obtained for South Africa. Now, sir, it seems to me peculiar that only those in the know can offer horses to the Government. Whether the notice be sudden or not, I would suggest that the fact be advertised, if only one insertion, to enable others having reliable remounts to dispose of them to the Government. It would, at any'rate, be fair to all, and maybe a better quality of horses might be obtained. Thanking you in anticipation of its insertion in your valuable paper.— I am, etc., Bex.
