HARBOR BOARD STILL CLING TO “ POVERTY.”

At the meeting of the Harbor Board yesterday, the Chairman moved, in accordance with notice, that steps bo taken to change the name of the Bay from “ Poverty ” to “ Victoria.” He made a strong speech in support of the motion, saying that all he asked the Board to do was to approve of the proposed change, and then it would be brought before a public meeting. There. was no seconder to the motion, and it therefore lapsed. Mr Mntthewson said he agreed that there should be a change, but ho would like to see it limited to that; the world was dotted with “ Yictorias.”
