Thursday’s Stock Sales.
Messrs Williams and Kettle’s stock salo at the Matawliero yards, on Thursday, should attract a good deal of attention, for the entries are first-class. Upwards of 3000 sheep will be offered, including 2000 sound mouth ewes, 650 full mouth ewes, and a number of store wethers. An important entry is tho 30 pure-bred Lincoln two-tooth rams, to be sold on account of Mr A. McKenzie, as well as 10 two-tooth Lincoln rams, offered on behalf o£ Mr W. W, Smith. Thero are also’ovcr 125 bead of cattle of all classes, in first-rate condition, to be offered. Further entries are invited. Mr A. F. Kennedy will con duct the sale.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, as usual, have a fine entry of sheep and cattle, the former including 12 Lincoln two-tooth rams, to bo offered on account of Mr J. L. Perry, and 26 Lincoln two-tooth rams on behalf of Mr S. B. Hamilton. A number of good springing heifers, from good dairy strain, arc included, as well as several good lines of young steers. In tho estate of Mr Mark Benson, tho firm will offer bullocks, dray and gear, three plough horses, and a nurnberof agricultural implements. Mr J. W. Bright will soli for the Company. An important stock sale will bo held at Messrs W. Hutchinson’s yards at Puliatikotiko, on Tuesday next, February 12th. by Messrs Common, Shelton, and Co. and Messrs Wyllie and Mason. The present entries include over 7000 sheep of all classes, and a number of first-classs horses. Tho firms mentioned hold their annual sale at Waerenga-a-hika on Thursday, February 14th, when several thousand head of sheep and a hundred head of cattle will be offered.
