Freetrade Campaign.

Sydney, last night,

Mr Reid opened the Frco Trade Federal campaign at a representative meeting, the Mayor presiding, at the Protestant Hall to-night. He traversed Mr Barton’s manifesto, and said that the prospects of free trade wore much brighter than many people thought. If. the Freetraders gave him a fair majority in this colony ho would promise them a majority in both Federal Houses. He afterwards addressed an overflow meeting. The proceedings evoked much enthusiasm, and demonstrated that tho divided sections of tho Freetraders had closod up.
