GISBOBNITES IN NAPIER. [the hues coerespoxdent.] Napier, last night. The Scinde eleven beat Gisborne after a close go by 39 runs. The Scinde scored 210 runs—Dent 107, Manson 52. Dent,., was given not out when he had scored 50, although the batsman admits he was out. He was also dropped off Hussey before that. Hussey scored G 5 runs with a dashing innings, and was caught just on the ground. McCredie scored 14, not out. Scinde scored 142 in their second innings. Hussey got sis wickets for 30. There was an exciting finish. The Gisborne team is in great form. Dcxedix, last night. The match Otago v. Auckland began yesterday. The visitors batted first on a dead wicket, and were all out for 5-5. The chief'scorers were: Mills 13, Stevenson 11. Downes took seven wickets for 36. Otago’s first innings closed for 220, the chief scorers being Austin 50, Mills 39, and Geddes 2S. Stephens took three wickets for 12, Stemson three for 35. In the second innings Auckland lost one woket tor no runs.
