ROPER DECIDES TO HANG UP HIS BOOTS

(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, dept. 7. R. A. Roper. Taranaki and All Black centre three-quarter, has retired from Rugby football. He received an injury to a knee cartilage in a match at Eltbam last Saturday and this will prevent him from playing for the rest of this season. He said last night that he intended to hang up his boots for good.
