(P.A.) NAPIER, Sept. 7. Wanganui's winning sequence in provincial Rugby matches was broken by Hawke's Bay’ m an exciting game yesterday. Hawke’s Bay won by 14 points to 10. Each side scored two tries, penalty goals deciding the issue. Weak tackling by the Hawke’s Bay backs let the visitors through repeatedly and the All Black wing-three-quarter, P. Henderson, brought the I crowd to their feet with a brilliant I trv The Hawke's Bay half-back, Ingram retaliated with a blind side try fhe Wanganui backs proved bet'er than the Hawke's Bay rearguard with the exception if Ingram and Wish- ! nowsky. but forward honours went to ( Hawke's Bay. . , . ~ I Hawke's Bay scored six poirns in the I first eight minutes, but Wanganui overi took the tally to lead at one stage | 10-0.
