N.Z. TOURIST FIRM TO SEEK LICENSES IN AUSTRALIA

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 25. “New Zealand transport and tourist operators view with concern the approaches being made by Ansett Transport Industries, of Australia, to operate within' New Zealand.” said Mr. M. R. Larsen, managing director _of Larsen's Tours. Limited, commenting on the cabled statement made by Mr. R. M. Ansett in Melbourne. Mr. Larsen announced the intention of his company to apply to transport boards in Australia for licenses to operate conducted tours within Australia. “We feel that it is fair enough for us to presume the same treatment should be accorded us by transport boards in Australia as will be accorded the Ansett interests by the New Zealand transport licensing authorities,” he said.
