DELEGATES’ ADVISERS AT 1.L.0. ASSEMBLIES
(Special) WELLINGTON, July 26. An indication of the reasons for the decisions of the Minister of Labour, Mr. W. Sullivan, to discontinue the payment of the expenses of advisers to employers and employees' delegates to of the International Labour Organisation was sought in the House of Representatives yesterday by Mr. A. *• Lagan (Opp. Riccarton) m notice of a question. He asked in particular wh {her the Employers’ Federation and th® Federation of Labour had been consulted before the decision was made. “The Labour Governments decision to pay these expenses was made following representations front and employees to the effect that it was not possible for their delegates alone to perform adequately the task of attending an 1.L.0. conference and participating in the work of the many commutei i appointed by the conference, said Mr McLagan.
