CLAIM FOR CONFERENCE

Gisborne’s claim for the holding of the 1952 conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce was referred to by the president of the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce. Mr. R. G. Clare, at a meeting last evening. He thought that from the reception accorded it at the last annual conference there was every prospect of the claim being successful. Gisborne expected to be the venue of the conference in 1952, he added.
