OTAGO CENTENARIAN STILL ACTIVE IN HOUSEHOLD DUTIES
(PA.) DUNEDIN, July 24. Many congratulatory cablegrams, telegrams, telephone messages, presents and cheques have been received by Mrs. Martha Thomas, of 547 Anderson s Bay Road, who was 100 years old on Saturday. The Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron, and city councillors sent her a handsome bouquet. Relatives gathered from many, parts of the Dominion. Outwardly unaffected by the great excitement which' pervaded her home, Mrs. Thomas was as active as ever on Saturday morning making beds and carrying out other household duties. "
