TROPHY CONTESTS OF GISBORNE ARCHERS
A high standard was set in the first round of the No. 2 indoor trophy shoot of the Gisborne Archery Club recently. W. J. Burton, who won the No. 1 trophy, got away to an excellent start with 375 to head the first round ol the No. 2 event. B. Attevell took second place with 363. Shooting for a monthly trophy on the air rifle. V. Clement scored 27 off a handicap of one from W. J. Burton, with 28 (-1) 27. W, J. Burton won the ladder badge with the best target.
