ELTHAM MAN KILLED IN COLLISION WITH CAR

(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. June 5. A prominent citizen of Eltham was killed on Saturday night in a collision with a motor car as he was crossing a street in the town and received multiple injuries. He was: Mr. Arthur George Whiting, aged 76, builder.

The driver of the car was Mr. Kenneth Hills, of Swansea Street, Wellington. Mr. Whiting had been a resident of Eltham for many years. He was a borough councillor and a member of the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union.
